If you are anything like me… you get the midday munchies. It’s not lunch anymore but it’s way too far from dinner and you are NOT GOING TO SURVIVE… insert gif of someone freaking out here..

First, you will survive.. but second.. you are allowed to have snacks. Yes, even if you are trying to lose weight, there are ways you can fill this void.

Here are some of my favorite snack ideas.

1) Hummus and Veggies (or another dipper)

Chickpeas are a great source of protein and will help your body to feel full longer, and also fuel your mind. It contains Omega-3 fatty acids shown to help with the reduction of body fat and controlling weight. Depending on how your digestion track works you may want to cook your veggies first, or pick more simple ones to digest.  Such as celery or cucumbers.

2) Popcorn

Ohhh yes, popcorn counts. Now I’m not saying go out to the local movie theatre and buy some of theirs.. you may just have to settle and make this at home.

Sprinkling Himalayan salt or  nutritional yeast on top may change it up just a bit!

3) OATS with literally anything.

Yup.. oats are a good source of fiber, they have a low calorie count, and they aid in digestion. All things you want in order to maintain a healthy diet, but also for a good snack.

Me personally, I love to mix mine with a tbsp of WOWbutter (I’m allergic to Peanuts.. so you can always use PB) then I use a dash of cinnamon and top it with a few blueberries… yum. I might go make that right now. haha

How to have the munchies and stay healthy all at the same time
